Franziska von Wertheimstein (1844–1907) was a distinguished salonnière whose home became a celebrated gathering place for Vienna's intellectual and artistic elite during the late 19th century. Her salons were instrumental in fostering cultural discourse and supporting the creative endeavors of prominent figures in music, literature, and the arts.
As a woman of considerable influence and refinement, von Wertheimstein played an important role in Vienna's vibrant cultural life. Her legacy as a patron and facilitator of artistic exchange is commemorated at Döbling Cemetery, where she was laid to rest following her death in 1907.
