Fred Bergmann

Biography

Fred Bergmann was a determined labor organizer whose efforts helped keep the fight for fair treatment and safe workplaces alive during turbulent times. He worked closely with fellow activists to build solidarity among employees and to amplify the voice of the rank-and-file.

His devotion to justice is remembered at the Haymarket Martyrs' Monument, where he rests alongside others who stood together for the cause of organized labor.
