Frederic T. Greenhalge

Biography

Frederic T. Greenhalge was born in 1842 and rose from humble beginnings in Lowell to become a principled lawyer and respected state legislator; his thoughtful leadership and unwavering belief in Massachusetts' workers carried him through campaigns for the governor's office.

He steered the Commonwealth through trying economic times near the end of the 19th century while upholding the broad interests of the people, leaving a legacy of earnest public service that is remembered at Lowell Cemetery.
