Biography
Frederick Ekins (1766–1842) was a rector who devoted his life to the spiritual care and pastoral leadership of his parish. As a clergyman of the established church, he played an important role in the religious and moral life of his community during the late Georgian period.
Ekins served faithfully in his ecclesiastical duties for many years, earning the respect of his parishioners. He was buried at St Mary's in High Church, where his long tenure as rector was commemorated and his pastoral legacy preserved.
