Biography
Frederick Jeremiah Edwards earned the Victoria Cross for conspicuous bravery during the First World War, standing alone to rescue comrades under withering fire and setting an example of courage that inspired countless others.
He lived the rest of his days with humility, often visiting Richmond to share memories with young soldiers and prompting the community to remember the cost of peace, with his grave at Richmond Cemetery serving as a lasting tribute.
