Biography
Frederick Kroesen devoted his life to the Army, rising from World War II battlefields to lead U.S. Army Europe and later serve as vice chief of staff with a steady commitment to both doctrine and the welfare of soldiers.
He championed modernization and the bonds of the profession of arms, remaining a mentor to young leaders while being interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
