Biography

Frederick Van Voorhies Holman earned respect as a lawyer and judge in Portland, handling complex cases with patience while also shaping the civic institutions of his adopted hometown.

He was equally devoted to preserving the story of the Pacific Northwest, writing histories and championing the Oregon Historical Society before he was laid to rest in Lone Fir Cemetery.
