Biography

Frederick Winthrop lived during the Civil War era, a time of profound national upheaval and transformation. He came of age during the 1850s and witnessed the tumultuous events that defined his generation.

Winthrop's life was cut short at the age of twenty-six in 1865, the final year of the American Civil War. He was laid to rest at Green-Wood Cemetery, a fitting tribute to a young man of his era.
