Biography

Frederik Theodor Schmidt built a reputation as a dedicated anatomist whose careful studies of human morphology enriched Danish medical knowledge during the mid-19th century.

He remained a committed teacher and scholar at a time of rapid advancement in medical science, and his work helped to ground the next generation of physicians in a spirit of observation and compassion; he now rests at Garnison Cemetery.
