Biography

Gabby Gabreski, born in 1919, became one of the most celebrated American fighter aces of World War II, answering the call to serve with courage and skill in the skies over Europe. His leadership, valor, and mentorship of younger pilots left a lasting imprint on the Air Force community and beyond.

After a lifetime of service, he was laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery, where visitors can reflect on the spirit of a warrior who inspired generations to uphold duty with honor.
