Biography

Galimyan Tagan was a Russian economist whose scholarly work contributed to economic thought during the twentieth century. Born in 1892, he developed expertise in economic theory and analysis during a period of revolutionary change and development in Russia.

Tagan's intellectual contributions to economics are remembered as part of the broader history of Russian and Soviet scholarship. He lived until 1948, witnessing the transformation of his nation. He was laid to rest at Ohlsdorf Cemetery in Hamburg.
