Biography
Gedalyahu Fuchs, born in 1911, became one of the early coaches to nurture association football in the north, patiently training teams and bringing disciplined technique to a sport that was helping to forge community bonds.
He believed that athletic education went hand in hand with character-building, and even after his death in 1966 his players and fellow coaches remembered his steady leadership and the pride he took in every regional match, a spirit echoed at Hof HaCarmel Cemetery.
