George A.H. Blake

Biography

George A.H. Blake was a veteran officer of the United States Army, serving in conflicts from the Mexican War through the Civil War and earning a reputation for disciplined leadership of cavalry units on the frontier.

After he retired he settled in Oregon and remained connected to his fellow veterans, while his calm dignity is honored at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
