Biography

George Clementson, born in 1842, called Lancaster home while he worked to uphold fairness in the community's legal and civic life. He applied a thoughtful mind to every decision and encouraged younger men to take pride in public service.

Clementson left behind a record of reasoned leadership and a belief that law could be an instrument of neighborliness; he died in 1903 having fostered a calmer civic tone.
