George Dovey

Biography

George Dovey lived from 1862 to 1909, a period marked by industrial growth and civic development in Philadelphia, and he is remembered for being part of that resilient generation.

Though the particulars of his trade are not preserved in the surviving records, the care with which he was laid to rest at Mount Moriah Cemetery speaks to the esteem in which he was held.
