George Goelet Kip

Biography

George Goelet Kip, born in 1845, combined a practical mind with a gracious demeanor that made him a trusted companion to many. He balanced personal ambition with sincere care for others, always mindful of the people who shared his day-to-day life.

He died in 1926 and was laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, where those who knew him remember the gentle leadership he demonstrated in deed as well as in word.
