Biography

George Jordan was born in 1917 and came to prominence as an association football player whose talent and sportsmanship won the admiration of teammates and supporters alike.

When the Second World War swept across Europe he, like many athletes of his generation, answered the call to serve; his life was cut short in 1944 and he is commemorated with his comrades at Ranville War Cemetery.
