Biography

George Leslie Drewry answered his country’s call with courage, serving in the Royal Navy during the First World War with the spirit of an honorable seaman. His bravery off the French coast earned him the highest praise, and he carried himself with a calm humility born of deep conviction.

He was laid to rest at the City of London Cemetery and Crematorium, where memories of his gallantry continue to inspire those who visit the grave of this valiant sailor.
