Biography

George M. Chilcott brought the concerns of Colorado territory settlers to the national stage, serving as delegate to the U.S. Congress and advocating for the infrastructure, land, and legal needs of his constituents.

After his time in Washington he returned home to Pueblo, where he remained engaged in veteran and civic affairs, encouraging the growth of schools and community institutions.
