Biography
George Merrill was a tireless LGBTQ rights activist whose partnership with Henry Gerber and his advocacy marked an important chapter in the movement for equality. In a time when open dialogue was rare, he fostered courage through personal example and steadfast support for emerging organizations.
Merrill’s commitment to justice and heartfelt friendship left an enduring impression on the community he served, and he was laid to rest at Mount Cemetery.
