George Nugent-Temple-Grenville, 1st Marquess of Buckingham (1753–1813) was one of the most prominent and influential politicians of the late Georgian era. Created Marquess of Buckingham, he served in various high offices of state and was a major landowner with substantial estates. His political career spanned the American Revolution, the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, and the early years of the 19th century.
