George P. Fisher

Biography

George P. Fisher was a Delaware lawyer whose steadfast leadership carried him to the United States Congress during the Civil War, where he represented his state with a commitment to the Union and to the rule of law.

After Congress he returned to legal practice, mentoring young attorneys and preserving the civic ideals that had guided his public service.
