Biography

George Robinson Black (1835-1886) was a builder of both structures and relationships, working tirelessly to ensure that every corner of the town had a place where neighbors could gather safely. He believed that careful craftsmanship and sincere friendships made for a stronger, kinder community.

Sylvania Cemetery now holds the memory of a man who took pride not just in the projects he completed but in the lives he touched while doing so.
