George Silverlock

Biography

George Silverlock was born in 1797 and passed away in 1813 at the age of sixteen. He was laid to rest in South Park Street Cemetery, one of Calcutta's historic burial grounds that preserves the memory of many who lived during the early colonial period.

Though his life was brief, Silverlock's burial in this significant cemetery reflects the established community of his time. South Park Street Cemetery remains an important historical site, documenting the lives of residents from the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
