Biography
George W. Clinton, son of DeWitt Clinton, continued the family tradition of public service, guiding the city of Buffalo as mayor in the early 1840s and offering steady counsel during the era's rapid growth.
Later years found him lending his experience to the courts and civic institutions, remaining a generous supporter of the city's schools and charities, and he rests at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
