Biography

George Washington Whitman, born in 1829, welcomed the opportunities and challenges of a nation growing through industry, reform, and new ideas. He provided steadfast companionship to family and friends as they all navigated the changes of the 19th century.

Today, Harleigh Cemetery holds his memory alongside other guardians of Camden’s heritage, honoring a life lived with loyalty to the community.
