Biography
Georges Ithier, born in 1897, long before the war established himself in Ivry-sur-Seine as a steadfast voice of opposition to oppression. He became a resistance fighter, offering counsel and courage to those much younger than himself and working tirelessly to keep organizations connected.
Arrested and executed in 1942, Georges remains remembered for his leadership and for showing that courage is not limited by age, but measured by devotion to liberty.
