Georgios Kafantaris

Biography

Georgios Kafantaris (1873–1946) was a prominent Greek lawyer and political figure who contributed significantly to the legal and political development of modern Greece. Throughout his career, he was involved in shaping Greek law and governance during a period of considerable national transformation and change.

Kafantaris maintained an active role in Greek public life across several decades, witnessing and participating in the major political and social developments of early twentieth-century Greece. His legal expertise and political engagement made him an influential figure in his era. He was buried in the First Cemetery of Athens, reflecting his prominence in Greek society.
