Gerard Hallock

Biography

Gerard Hallock, born in 1800, lived much of his life amid the rhythms of Charlottesville, where he became known among neighbors for his dependable character and generous hospitality.

When he passed in 1866, friends recalled how he balanced work and family with a patient spirit, and today Evergreen Cemetery preserves the memory of that steady presence.
