Biography

Gerard Lysley Derriman (1870-1915) served as a military officer in the early years of the Great War, leading men with steady resolve as the conflict grew fiercer. He answered the call with a sense of duty and remained with his unit even as the battlefields took an increasing toll.

He was remembered by comrades for the calm weight of his leadership, and he is laid to rest in Le Tréport Military Cemetery, where his sacrifice remains honored.
