Biography

Germain Carrère apprenticed in the traditions of woodcarving, shaping sacred and civic spaces with a deep respect for craftsmanship. From his native region he drew inspiration from the curves of the landscape and the whisper of history beneath his chisels.

His delicate reliefs and carved panels have remained quietly integrated into churches and memorials across the countryside, where they present a patient testimony to careful artistry. The earthy scent of the forest still lingers around his memory at the cemetery of Terre Cabade.
