Biography
Gerrit van der Veen was a skilled goldsmith whose steady hands also became instruments of resistance as he fought to restore dignity to his occupied homeland.
He was executed in 1944, and the Dutch Honorary Cemetery Bloemendaal now bears witness to his bravery and the resolve he showed in defending freedom.
