Biography

Gertrud Wiklund (1880–1976) was a Swedish gymnastics director whose professional life was dedicated to physical education and the promotion of gymnastics. Her work in this field contributed significantly to the development of physical culture and wellness in Sweden during the twentieth century.

Wiklund's career spanned nearly a century, during which she witnessed and influenced the evolution of gymnastics and physical education in Swedish society. She lived to the age of ninety-six, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to health and athletic development. She was laid to rest at Uppsala Old Cemetery, where she is remembered for her pioneering work in gymnastics education.
