Gertrude Jerome

Biography

Gertrude Jerome, born in 1853, was a cherished member of her community whose bright presence enlivened gatherings and whose compassion comforted friends and loved ones. She carried herself with grace amid the swiftly shifting tides of nineteenth-century society.

Though she departed in 1883, the tenderness she shared lives on in recollections of encouraging conversation and thoughtful deeds. She now rests at Green-Wood Cemetery, where her gentle spirit remains honored by those she uplifted.
