Biography
Géza Maróti trained as an architect and sculptor, bringing together modernist rhythms, folk motifs, and classical detail in the civic and religious buildings for which he provided exterior reliefs, interiors, and decorative sculpture during the early twentieth century.
His imaginative work on facades, mosaics, and freestanding pieces won praise at exhibitions and from patrons across the capital and beyond, leaving a distinctive imprint on Budapest's streetscape and ensuring he is remembered at Fiume Road Graveyard.
