Biography
Gloria E. Anzaldúa pushed the boundaries of Chicana theory and literature with landmark works such as Borderlands/La Frontera, weaving Spanish, English, and indigenous storytelling to explore identity, sexuality, and the experience of living along contested borders.
A poet, essayist, and professor, she co-edited This Bridge Called My Back and nurtured communities of writers and activists, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire scholars and artists.
