Biography

Gottfried Braun was a younger member of the Brno Jewish community whose life was cut short during the tumultuous period of World War I. Though he lived only twenty-three years, his life was part of the community's ongoing story.

Braun lived from 1895 to 1918, his brief life encompassing the final years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Great War. He was interred in the Jewish cemetery in Brno, where his grave stands as a reminder of those whose lives were claimed by the conflicts of his era.
