Biography

Gottlieb Haase (1763–1824) was an accomplished printer who contributed to the dissemination of knowledge and literature in early 19th-century Prague. His work in the printing trade reflected the growing importance of the printed word during a period of cultural and intellectual development in Central Europe.

Haase's career spanned several decades of significant change in printing technology and practices. He was buried at Olšany Cemetery, a final resting place that reflects his standing in Prague's professional community during his lifetime.
