Biography
Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna of Russia (1895–1918) was the eldest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra. During World War I, she devoted herself to nursing the wounded, serving as a Red Cross nurse and demonstrating remarkable compassion for those suffering from the ravages of war. Her dedication to alleviating human suffering reflected the values of service and duty that defined her character.
Olga's life was cut tragically short during the Russian Revolution. Along with her parents, siblings, and loyal attendants, she was executed in Yekaterinburg on July 17, 1918, becoming one of the most poignant casualties of the revolutionary upheaval.
