Biography

Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia was born in 1891 into the Russian imperial family and later became involved in political affairs. As a member of the Romanov dynasty, he witnessed the cataclysmic changes that transformed Russia and Europe during the twentieth century.

The Grand Duke spent his later years in Baden-Württemberg, where he passed away in 1942. He represented a displaced aristocratic heritage and the upheaval experienced by European nobility during this transformative period.
