Green Berry Samuels

Biography

Green Berry Samuels was born in 1806 and died in 1859, living through more than five decades of the nineteenth century. He was laid to rest at Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, reflecting his faith and his place within his religious community.

Samuels' long life allowed him to witness and participate in the growth of his community during a formative period. His burial in a church cemetery speaks to the importance of faith in his life and the values he held dear.
