Gregorio Aráoz de Lamadrid (1795–1857) was an Argentine military officer and regional leader from Tucumán who played an important role in the wars of independence and the consolidation of Argentine territory. He commanded military forces in the northern regions and worked to establish order and national authority.
Aráoz de Lamadrid's military service and dedication to national unity were recognized throughout his life. His burial in the Our Lady of the Incarnation Cathedral in San Miguel de Tucumán reflects his deep roots in the region and his lasting legacy in Argentine military history.
