Biography
Gustav Knepper was a German steiger, a skilled mining supervisor and technical expert in the Ruhr industrial region. Throughout his career, he contributed to the development and management of the mining operations that were vital to Germany's industrial economy during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Knepper's professional dedication spanned several decades until his death in 1951 at the age of 81. He was interred at Südwestfriedhof Essen, a cemetery serving the industrial heartland where his life's work had been centered.
