Biography
György Kürthy (1882–1972) was a Hungarian figure who witnessed nearly a century of his nation's history, from the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the post-World War II era. He lived through periods of significant social and political transformation in Central Europe.
Kürthy's long life allowed him to experience multiple generations of Hungarian culture and society. He was interred at Farkasréti Cemetery, Budapest's historic burial ground where many notable Hungarians have been laid to rest.
