Biography
Gyula Kornis devoted his career to the service of the Hungarian people as both a scholar and a politician, believing that education and culture are the cornerstones of a flourishing society. His work in public office was guided by an unshakable commitment to civic responsibility and thoughtful reform.
Even after he left the halls of power, Kornis continued to nurture the public dialogue on democracy and learning, leaving a lasting impression on Hungary’s intellectual life; he was laid to rest among other guardians of the nation’s memory at Farkasréti Cemetery.
