Biography

Gyula Mezey was a Hungarian agronomist whose scientific expertise advanced agricultural practices and knowledge in his homeland. His work contributed to improvements in farming techniques and agricultural education during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Mezey's career reflected a commitment to applying scientific principles to agriculture, helping to modernize Hungarian farming. He lived for sixty-one years and passed away in 1922. He was interred at Farkasréti Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among other notable figures in Hungarian science and society.
