Biography

H. M. Walker lent his sharp wit to early Hollywood as a screenwriter and head of the title department at Hal Roach Studios, crafting pithy intertitles for the silent era and continuing to shape comedic dialogue as films embraced sound.

His gift for precise pacing helped define the voice of comedy teams such as Laurel and Hardy, and after a prolific career he was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
