Biography

H. Olin Young served Michigan’s northern districts with a deep commitment to public service, representing the people of the Upper Peninsula in Congress during a time when the needs of miners, farmers, and small towns required strong advocacy. He brought the concerns of distant communities to the nation’s capital with both legal skill and heartfelt attention.

After his years in office he returned to Ishpeming, continuing to support civic projects and mentoring a new generation of leaders, always mindful of the region’s proud heritage and industrious people.
