Hamida Djandoubi (1949–1977) was a Tunisian-born immigrant whose life ended in notoriety after he was convicted of murder in France.
In 1977 he became the last person to be executed by guillotine in France, and he is buried at Saint-Pierre Cemetery, where visitors reflect on the weight of capital punishment.
