Hannah Hughes

Biography

Hannah Hughes was born in 1746 and lived a long life spanning nearly nine decades. She witnessed the American Revolution, the founding of the nation, and the tremendous changes of the early nineteenth century from her community in Pennsylvania.

Hughes passed away in 1832 at the advanced age of 86. She was interred at Christ Church Upper Merion Episcopal Cemetery, where her resting place reflects her deep connection to her faith and community throughout her extended life.
